Joanne Gormley, DPM
Joanne Gormley, DPM specializes in biomechanics and surgery of the foot. In addition to her training in podiatric medicine she holds a master of science degree in exercise physiology and understands the importance of foot health in keeping patients active an through all stages of life.
Dr. Gormley is a native of Indianapolis and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and graduate school at Purdue University. She obtained her podiatric medical degree summa cum laude from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, followed by residency training in foot surgery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and additional surgical training in the Seattle area. Prior to joining Ankle and Foot of Edmonds in 2016 Dr. Gormley practiced for 27 years in her private podiatric clinic in Seattle.
Dr. Gormley served 12 years on the board of the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association, two of those as president of the organization. She was instrumental in starting the free podiatric care program at Mary’s Place shelter in Seattle and has been recognized by her peers as Podiatric Physician of the Year and as a Top Doctor by Seattle Met magazine.
Outside of work Dr. Gormley is a competitive rower and enjoys spending time gardening and playing with her grandchildren.
