Struggling with Your Hand?

Don’t Let Hand Pain or Numbness Ruin Your Day

What begins as a simple annoyance becomes a real problem when you struggle at work or can’t enjoy your favorite hobby. Numb or painful hands disrupt daily activities and sleep; even simple activities like opening a jar, turning a key, or tying our shoes become difficult. Even worse, traumatic hand injuries are unexpected and instantly change your life.

Concern and worry about what is wrong with your hand, whether you will need surgery, how long recovery will take, whether you can still work, or fear of potential long-term consequences are all natural and understandable.

Avoid This Costly Error

Fixing the cause of your hand pain or numbness requires accurately identifying the issue. It sounds straightforward, but unfortunately, I frequently encounter individuals who have struggled for weeks or months with either incorrect or ineffective treatments because they weren’t given the correct diagnosis. Don’t waste valuable time or hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars without finding relief.

Get Relief Without Surgery

Did you know most hand problems do not require surgery if identified and treated early enough? In my practice, when we looked back over an entire year, 84.5% of office visits did not result in surgery. Getting the correct diagnosis and treatment now reduces your risk of needing surgery later.

Ignoring the problem with your hand or getting the wrong treatment increases the chances you will need surgery to fix the pain or numbness. Even a chronic condition like arthritis improves significantly once you know what it is and how to manage the symptoms to prevent them from worsening and avoid surgery.

Get To Know Me

Hi, I’m Dr. Wren, and I have been fortunate to spend the last two decades helping thousands of people like you identify, overcome, and prevent hand problems like pain and numbness.

As a board-certified specialist in Orthopedics and Hand Surgery, I provide expert guidance to ensure you get the right diagnosis and the best treatment options for your unique situation. I want to help you avoid wasting time, money, and unnecessary stress without finding relief.

Hand problems affect more than just your hands—they impact your entire life. That’s why my board certification in Lifestyle Medicine allows me to help you understand how daily choices can either help or harm you. How you Sleep, Think, Eat, and Move—what I call your 4/2 ThRVE—play a key role in inflammation, joint pain, and injury. Addressing these factors can improve healing, reduce the need for surgery, and prevent future problems.

I grew up in the Northwest and completed my education, medical school, and advanced training in Hand Surgery at the University of Washington. I’ve authored over 80 scientific works, served as a Consultant Reviewer, and lectured nationally on hand and upper extremity conditions. My research has earned numerous national awards, but my true passion is caring for my community and helping my patients regain function and quality of life with compassionate, effective care.

I would be honored to help you get relief for your hand, and I look forward to meeting with you soon.
